Worn and tattered textbooks 
can be beautifully rebound providing years of added use

We must have a properly filled out Blue Bindery Shipment Form with your order at the time we pick it up. Attach an alphabetized, itemized list of the titles and how many copies of each title are included in your order. Our standard Library Grade Buckram is available in 20 colors, with title lettering in white, black or gold.
 
It is the School’s responsibility to examine the textbooks before they are sent for binding to make sure the books are complete and not in such poor condition that they cannot be rebound.
  
We are not responsible for missing pages. Perforated pages in workbooks will be bound in and will no longer be perforated or removable unless otherwise specified.
 
You can save some money by having students straighten out “dog ears”.

HOW TO STRAIGHTEN “DOG EARED” PAGES*

When a Book has too many folded or curled pages it is difficult and sometimes impossible to bind.

1. Unfold or uncurl the  “dog eared” corner.
2. Moisten the crease with a damp sponge (NOT WET!).
3. When all the pages are flattened, close the cover and place a weight on the book until dry.
          * DO NOT use this procedure on Clay Coated paper.
 
Extra Charges: Extra charges will be made on a time and materials basis for textbooks that require special handling because of folded maps, charts, plates, plastic overlays, etc.
 
Books returned before school opening: If your textbooks are ready for us by July 1, we will have them back to you before school opens in the fall. If we receive them later than July 1, we cannot guarantee return before school starts.
 
Contact person: To prevent possible delays in completing your order, please supply the name and phone number of a person that can be reached during the summer.

Kater-Bound and Academy Bound: For Kater-Bounds, the covers must be in good condition. If a cover is damaged, too stiff or cannot be removed without damage, the book will be Academy Bound in book cloth at the same price.

If you are ordering quantities of new paperbacks to have Kater-Bound you can save time and money by having the books shipped to your school name c/o Kater-Crafts at our address. Send us a copy of your purchase order which we will check against the shipment when it is received.
