BINDING THESES & DISSERTATIONS

You can submit your thesis to Kater-Crafts for binding in three ways:

  Thesis pages may be brought to the bindery for binding: We are located ¼ mile west of the 605 Fwy. at Whittier Blvd., about 12 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.

  Theses pages may be mailed to us.

  Theses pages may be sent online as an Adobe PDF attachment.
 
If your institution has special requirements, please let us know so we can bind your thesis as specified.

All of our binding conforms to the NISO/LBI Standard for Library Binding. Our binders board and endsheets are acid free. We stock 15 colors of Group F Buckram. See our Buckram color chart for cover color choices. Our foil lettering is available in Gold, Balck or White.

It is important that your thesis be printed with the paper's grain direction parallel to the binding edge so that they open properly. If your thesis has folded pages, photos or other material pasted on pages that require stubbing, or folded maps or a cassette requiring a pocket, we will charge according to our hourly price schedule for extra prep time.
